It's fine to have some Lucozade during pregnancy, but it's best to stick to Lucozade Sport, which is caffeine free.
Lucozade Energy contains caffeine, and too much caffeine can be bad for your baby, so it's best to limit it while you're pregnant.
How much caffeine does Lucozade contain?
Both Lucozade Energy and Lucozade Energy Zero contain caffeine.
According to the company, "All of our Lucozade Energy drinks contain approximately 12mg of caffeine per 100ml".
That means a small 380ml bottle of Lucozade Energy contains just under 50mg of caffeine, while a medium 500ml bottle contains about 60mg
When you're pregnant, you should limit the amount of caffeine you drink to around 200mg a day. Higher levels of caffeine can lead to low birthweight and have also been linked to miscarriage.
